Welcome to the home of Pink Fighting Back. I am Lisa Marie Cornwell, the creator behind the brand.

I’m a Practice Manager, a cancer warrior, a light-worker for the soul, an author and most importantly a daughter, a wife, and a mother to many fur-babies.
I was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer at the age of 28 - I was given 5 years to live in 2016 due to the Cancer metastasising to my bones, and then in 2018 my prognosis was shorted to 3 months to live due the Cancer metastasising to my brain. It's now 2024 and I am still here, I am still alive and I am still having chemotherapy every 3 weeks, and will be doing so for the rest of my life, or until it stops working and we need to try something else.

So I am in the midst of it, I'm in the fight, and there is no other side, it's just moving through it and learning to live with and thrive with Cancer.
​
I am living a pretty incredible life even with what I have been dealt with, and I believe I was given this diagnosis for a reason, and that is to raise awareness and to support others on this journey. I am living proof Breast Cancer, or Cancer of any kind does not discriminate against age, race, gender, or beliefs and I am even more proof that you can thrive while living with Cancer.

I know not every day is my best day, and I have the low lows, and depths of despair, but through it all I fight, I fight for those I love and that love I wear on my sleeve. I am what they call 'stable' for now, it has been one heck of a journey that is still unfolding each and every day. But this has sparked a drive within me regarding the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness in younger people, the signs and symptoms to look out for at a younger age which increases your chances of getting Cancer, and also the significant importance of being an advocate for your own health care.
